Karla is a second-year Master's student of Applied Archaeology at Leiden University. After receiving her Bachelor in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Zagreb where she focused on prehistoric and medieval archaeology, and paleoanthropology, she expanded her interest in geophysical survey and remote sensing. She also dabbles in digital archaeology, heritage management, and palaeontology —participating in student workshops organized by the LDE Centre for Global Heritage Development and an interdisciplinary project hosted by the TU Delft, as well as volunteering in biodiversity research at the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre.
