Last spring a team from The Centre for Global Heritage and Development consisting of civil engineers from TU Delft and archaeologists from Leiden University won the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award 2020 for their Scanning for Syria project. Because of the travel restrictions related to the pandemic the award ceremony with all 21 European prize winners and members of the European Commission was held online on November 10.
