She is a Master's student in Heritage and Memory Studies at the University of Amsterdam. During her Bachelor's studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences, she became interested in the political and social aspects of material heritage, specifically in colonial heritage in the public space of Amsterdam on which she wrote her thesis. During her current Master's program, Anna has delved further into the topic of colonial heritage but has also expanded her interests with the topics of landscape biographies, participation in cultural heritage and commemorations. This has led her to the current theme of her thesis, where she combines the topics of heritage and gender in public commemorations.
